The story behind the art:
Durry weaving is an age old art practiced for millennia in India. The term "durry" or "dari" translates to thick strands. These thick strands of cotton are woven together by traditional artisans who have achieved mastery over creating exquisite designs and patterns with these colourful "daris". The artisans of Rajasthan are exceptionally skilled at producing these rugs and carpets, and their art is highly demanded across the world.
